Alright--I've gotten my first posted comments. I'm so excited!
To answer Chez-Mew, I was at "Literary Science Fiction/Fantasy Convention," meaning the focus was more on books than on films or comics or other media. Lots of authors in the genre were in attendance. I read other things as well, but SF-Fantasy is my weakness. Khan loves it when I read because I usually sit on the bed--his favorite spot--and keep him company.
Speaking of cats and books, at the convention I also got an autograph from Carole Nelson Douglas, who writes the Midnight Louis mysteries. She also signed the book, with a cat-paw drawing, on behalf of Midnight Louis himself. I gave it to my little one, who wanted it for a collection of pet-related books.
